Fr. Piotr Zimnoch has been recalled to his home diocese in Poland after seven
years of ministry among us. He will leave at the end of July (31st). Adjustments
are needed to our summer schedule because of our reduced personnel and staff holidays
and the advice of some members of the parish pastoral council was sought.
Confessions
schedule will be honoured as far as possible, but a priest may not always be available.
Feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
Bishop
Donal McKeown will celebrate the Vigil Mass with us at 7.30pm on Tuesday
14th August, the eve of this Holyday of Obligation. Everyone is invited
to attend and you may wish to invite people from other communities to pray with
us that evening.
The next
day, August 15th will mark the twentieth anniversary of the bomb that caused so
much destruction and sadness in our community and in other communities, locally
and internationally. Through our prayer we will express our solidarity with all
who suffered at that time (1998) and who continue to suffer in any way, because
of what happened then.

Sacred Heart Church Sound/Loop System
A recent
inspection of our sound/loop system in the Sacred Heart Church by the sound engineer,
Michael Kielty, declared that the system is working perfectly. However, Mr Kielty
does advise that those people with hearing aids would better avail of this service
by sitting as close to the wall as possible at the front of the Church. This is
the area where the loop system is most effective. We hope this will help.

us patient and kind,

us to live your forgiveness and peace.
Protect
all families with your loving care,
Especially
those for whom we now pray:
[We pause
and remember family members and others by name].

our faith,
Strengthen
our hope,
Keep
us safe in your love,
Make
us always grateful for the gift of life that we share.
This
we ask, through Christ our Lord,
Amen
Mary, mother and guide, pray for us.
Saint Joseph, father and protector, pray for us.
