Blessing of the Graves


Killyclogher


The Blessing of the Graves will take place during the Vigil Mass;

at the earlier time of 6pm on Saturday 1st September 2018.

Mass will be celebrated outside, weather permitting.

There will be NO 7.30pm Vigil Mass later that evening.

The Vigil Mass in Christ the King, Strathroy will remain at the usual time of 6.30pm.


Knockmoyle


The Blessing of the Graves will take place on Sunday 9th

September at 3pm, outside, weather permitting.

Please note there will be NO 10am Sunday Mass that morning.



World Meeting of Families 2018


Celebration of Family Life


To mark the beginning of the Word Meeting of Families, you are invited to join with people from the 17 parishes in the County Tyrone Deanery of our diocese to a

“Celebration of Family Life in Prayer and Music” in

St Mary’s Church, Killyclogher on Tuesday 21st August at 7.30 pm. This will be followed by refreshments and

entertainment in the Parish Centre, Killyclogher.

Pope Francis Visit to Knock Shrine: Sun 26th Aug

Please do not travel to Knock unless you have tickets for this event. Those who have tickets are advised to read the information available on the Knock Shrine website: www.knockshrine.ie/wmof2018

Cappagh Parish Pilgrimage to WMOF, Dublin:


Coach will depart from the Parish Centre each day.


Fri 24th Aug, RDS: Coach will depart at 5.30am sharp to arrive at the RDS at 9am. Group will gather after the Mass in the Main Hall, RDS at 6pm to return home.


Sat 25th Aug, Croke Pk: Coach will depart at 12noon. Coach drop off will be on Alfie Byrne Rd (near Dublin Docklands). There will be a shuttle service to Croke Park, or it is a 20min walk. This shuttle bus will incur a cost. Gates open at 4pm. Concert starts at 6.30pm and it concludes at approximately 9pm.


Sun 26th Aug, Phoenix Pk: Coach will depart at 6am sharp, as there will be considerable traffic and a walk to our Corral within the Park. You are advised to wear appropriate walking shoes and bring a waterproof jacket/poncho, a small folding seat, and plenty of food and water with you. This will be a very long day of travelling and standing.


Re:Tickets: Orla will contact everyone individually and also confirm the departure times.

Catholic Grandparents Assoc. Pilgrimage to Knock


The pilgrimage takes place on 9th September at 2.30pm. Everybody is welcome to come along to honour and thank Grandparents, alive and dead, for all they have done for us down through the generations. Chief Celebrant: Archbishop Jude Thaddeus Okolo. Combined Choirs of Knock, the Tuttle Family and Dana will sing “Our Lady of Knock.” Children are asked to write a prayer for their grandparents, which will be blessed on the day.

From Darkness into Light

Aidan Byrne, international speaker from Carlow, will share his personal testimony on how he was involved in New Age practices, the effects on his family and how he was healed.

NI Blood Transfusion Service

The next blood donating sessions will take place in Omagh Rugby Club, Thomas Mellon Playing Fields, Omagh on Mon 20th, Tues 21st and Wed 22nd August. Sessions: 1.45pm-4pm & 5.30pm-8pm.
