Compassion’. In the context of the
recent proposal to introduce assisted suicide, both in Ireland and the UK, this
year's Day for Life message invites
Catholics to consider a more positive and compassionate response to the care of
people who are in the final stages of life.

New Sunday Mass Schedule
“In the diocese of Clogher today, almost half of
our priests are over the age of 65. This shortage of priests will involve
change - in fact, major change.” (from Bishop Duffy’s recent letter,
dated August 22nd 2021).
The deciding factor in the changes to Sunday Mass
arrangements is how a smaller number of priests can provide a more
realistic schedule of Masses across neighbouring parishes on a given
Sunday. It means that the number
of Masses has to be reduced to take into account this new
reality. A number of Churches will have
Mass on alternate Sundays only, i.e. Mass every second weekend, as
detailed here.
