New
Sunday Mass Schedule
“In the
diocese of Clogher today, almost half of our priests are over the age of 65.
This shortage of priests will involve change - in fact, major change.” (from
Bishop Duffy’s recent letter, dated August 22nd 2021).
The deciding
factor in the changes to Sunday Mass arrangements is how a smaller
number of priests can provide a more realistic schedule of Masses across
neighbouring parishes on a given Sunday.
It means that the number of Masses has to be reduced to
take into account this new reality. A
number of Churches will have Mass on alternate Sundays only, i.e. Mass
every second weekend, as detailed here.
