Lent
2022 - beginning on Ash Wednesday, March 2nd.
For the past
two years (2020 & 2021) the celebration of Lent was badly impacted by
prolonged periods of lockdown as a result of the pandemic.
As we prepare
for Lent 2022, beginning on Ash Wednesday, March 2nd - we are giving
advance notice of a change to the Weekday (Monday to Friday) Mass
Schedule for Lent at St. Patrick’s, Ballybay.
The change is
to take account of the reduced number of priests, resulting in priests having
to assume responsibility for ministry across neighbouring parishes.
The Lenten Weekday
Mass Schedule for Lent in St. Patrick’s, Ballybay will be as follows:
·
Mondays - Evening
Mass at 7.30pm (preceded by Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament from
5.30pm). Please note No morning Masses on Mondays.
Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays - early
morning Mass on these three mornings at 7.15am and also Mass at 9.30am
Fridays - Evening
Mass at 7.30pm. Please note No
morning Masses on Fridays.
Mass Times for
Ash Wednesday across neighbouring parishes will be announced in due course.
