Lent 2022 - beginning on Ash Wednesday, March 2nd

As we prepare for Lent 2022, beginning now on this coming Wednesday, Ash Wednesday, March 2nd - you are asked to note a change to the Weekday (Monday to Friday) Mass Schedule for Lent at St. Patrick’s, Ballybay. The change is to take account of the reduced number of priests, resulting in priests having to assume responsibility for ministry across neighbouring parishes.

The Lenten Weekday Mass Schedule in St. Patrick’s, Ballybay will be as follows:

·      Mondays - Evening Mass at 7.30pm (preceded by Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament from 5.30pm). Please note No morning Masses on Mondays.

Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays - early morning Mass on these three mornings at 7.15am and also Mass at 9.30am

Fridays - Evening Mass at 7.30pm.  Please note No morning Masses on Fridays.

Again, owing to a reduced number of priests having to assist with cover across neighbouring parishes, the following are the arrangements for Masses on Ash Wednesday.

Ash Wednesday, 2nd March 2022 (with distribution of Ashes at the following Masses)

·    St. Patrick’s Ballybay - two morning Masses, 7.15am & 9.30am.

·    Ballintra at 7.30pm.

·    Latton at 7.30pm / Castleblayney 10am / Annyalla 7.30pm

Lough Egish 7.30am / Carrickatee 7.30pm
