St.
Vincent de Paul As
winter settles in around us and Christmas draws near, our local SVP Conference
is concerned about families who will face impossible choices this year. Some
will struggle with the decision of heating the house or having a Christmas
dinner.
The
SVP Christmas Collections will be held at weekend Masses on the following
dates:
Tullycorbet
– today Sunday, 3rd December
Ballybay
& Ballintra - Saturday, 9th & Sunday, 10th December.
The
local branch of SVP are once again encouraging parishioners to make further use
of the ‘SVP Envelope’ (available in Church porches) by way of facilitating the
generous Christmas donations that people are in the habit of making at this
time each year. If you are in need of assistance, you can contact us in writing
to SVP C/O Confraternity Rooms, St. Patrick’s Street, Ballybay or Freephone
1800 677 777, at the latest by Friday, 8th December. In either case our SVP
volunteer will get in contact to see how best we may assist.
