Confirmation 2024 The parish welcomes Bishop Larry Duffy to St. Patrick’s on this Friday afternoon, April 19th for the celebration of the Sacrament of Confirmation.  We wish the girls and boys every grace and blessing at this important time in their young lives – and we thank God for the care, love and example they have received from their parents and families, teachers and the wider school/parish community.


National Pilgrimage for Life The first National Pilgrimage for Life, organised by the Council for Life of the Irish Catholic Bishops’ Conference, will be celebrated on Saturday 4th May in Knock Shrine.  The pilgrimage begins with Anointing of the Sick in the Basilica at 2.30pm, followed by Mass at 3pm and Rosary Procession after Mass, weather permitting. Main celebrant and homilist will be Archbishop Francis Duffy.  We invite you to join us in Knock to celebrate the gift of life and to pray for the protection of all human life.


Cahans Meeting House Committee invite you to an afternoon tea on Saturday 20 April from 3pm at Cahans Meeting House (H18 ENZ1) - open to everyone (bring a friend or friends), no charge though donations will be welcome. It will be a time of relaxed chat and refreshments.


Dance in Drumhowan Community Centre on Friday, 19th April in aid of Ballybay Cancer Society. Music provided by Robert Browne. Admission €10. Refreshments served. Dancing from 9pm.  All welcome.


Diocesan Pilgrimage to Knock will take place on Wednesday 7 August 2024 and will be led by Bishop Larry Duffy, Bishop of Clogher. Families and parish or prayer / community groups are welcome to make the journey and to gather in Knock. Times to be confirmed. Parishes or groups of parishes are encouraged to arrange transport, should the demand exist.


Bishop Joseph Duffy’s latest book Aghabog Inheritance will be launched on Monday, 29th April at 8pm in St Joseph’s Pastoral Centre. Aghabog Inheritance concentrates on the history of the parish of Aghabog and the 4 surrounding parishes of Currin, Ematris, Killeevan and Kilmore & Drumsnatt, uncovering many interesting historical facts, writings, stories, peoples, places, and saints associated with the parish and townlands in the area covered by the book. All are welcome.


Stop, Think, Check Bank of Ireland are hosting a Fraud Event on Wednesday April 17th at 8.30am in the Hillgrove Hotel.

Join the Bank of Ireland Fraud Team and An Garda Siochana to hear what fraud scams are most prevalent, how you can recognise the signs that all is not right and obtain easy to follow tips to keep you and your banking details secure.

The event is open to customers and non-customers. Tea/Coffee and scones will be served at conclusion.
