Eucharist in Scripture, discover God’s plan as it is expressed through the Bible
and the Mass. This six-lesson DVD study, presented by Dr Scott Hahn, will unlock
the meaning of covenant, sacrifice, and sacrament as understood in the Bible, from
Genesis through Revelation. Built
around three of Dr Hahn’s foundational talks: “The Lamb’s Supper,” “The Fourth Cup,”
and “Consuming the Word,” The Eucharist in Scripture examines the biblical foundations
of the Eucharist and explores the Church’s liturgy as the original context for the
books of the Bible. The Eucharist
in Scripture is part of Promise & Fulfillment, a series of dynamic video presentations
by Dr Scott Hahn, founder and president of the St. Paul Center for Biblical Theology.
Promise & Fulfillment is designed to help ordinary Catholics grow in their knowledge
of the riches of the Catholic faith. With his hearers, Dr Hahn reads the Bible from
the heart of the church, considering the providential relationship of the Old and
the New Testaments. Starts
Thursday 19th September at 7.30pm in St Michael’s Parish Centre, Enniskillen. All
welcome. For more information, visit: www.stpaulcenter.com The Comboni Missionaries of
the Sacred Heart: We will
welcome these missionaries next Sunday 22/9/2019 Auction: The auction
this year was financially very successful. We thank all who organised the event,
especially Ciaran, Gerard, and Hughie, and the very professional Auctioneer - Mr
Liam Leonard. We thank those who gave the donations, sheep, cattle, machinery, sheds,
a car, etc. Some were very generous indeed, and we appreciate their generosity greatly.
The Profit from the Auction amounted to £2.700.00. Thanks. Pobal Parish Pastoral Council: meet in Fr John’s house at
8.30pm on Tuesday 17th September. Look forward to seeing you all there. In Memory of my Mother - Poem
by Patrick Kavanagh I do
not think of you lying in the wet clay of a Monaghan graveyard, I see
you walking down a lane among the poplars On your way to the station, or happily Going
to second Mass on a Summer Sunday You meet me and you say: Don’t
forget to see about the cattle Among your earthiest words the angel’s stray And I
think of you walking along a headland of green oats in June, So full
of repose, so rich with life And I see us meeting at the end of a town On a
fair day by accident, after -The bargains
are all made and we can walk Together
through the shops and stalls and markets -Free in the oriental streets of thought. O you
are not lying in the wet clay For it is a harvest evening now and we Are piling
up the ricks against the moon light -And you smile up at us eternally |
