DEATHS: 

We pray for the happy repose of the souls of Geoffrey Hobson (Leitrim Village & formerly Leeds) and Farrell McElgunn (Summerhill, Ck on Shannon) whose funerals took place recently. May they rest in the peace of Christ.

The waiting is the hard part, Lord.

I know you’re there, by me side

but I think sometimes I’m waiting

to see you with my eyes

when you’re waiting

to reveal yourself in my heart.

I’m waiting to hear your voice

in my ears, when you are waiting

to speak to me in the scriptures.

This Lent, Lord, teach me to wait

for your presence, beside me,

around me, within me.

Keep me mindful that it is only

in the stillness, Lord, only in the quiet

that I will find you.

You wait for me with help for this day’s problems….

You wait for me with mercy for my failings….

You wait for me with healing for my hurts….

You wait for me with peace to ease my sadness….

You wait for me with light to dispel my darkness…

You wait for me with grace to bless all I undertake….

You wait for me to make some time and find a place

where I might rest and wait for you….
