crisis is imposing financial burdens on every family and business in our parish.
The current restrictions and suspension of Masses is impacting
significantly on parish financial resources and ability to meet our responsibilities.
We would like to thank most sincerely parishioners who pay through direct debit
in the bank and those who dropped envelopes into the presbytery every week. If you
wish you can drop envelopes through the presbytery letterbox or for anyone who may
prefer to offer financial support electronically, the following are our banking

cancel Cemetery Sunday in Ballymacormack for this year. Mass will be offered in
St. Mel’s Cathedral next Sunday 28th June at 1pm for all who are buried in Ballymacormack
Cemetery and all graves will be blessed privately by the priests of the Parish. RETURNING TO CELEBRATE TOGETHER: We look forward to St Mel’s Cathedral resuming public
worship on Monday 29th June. Because of the need to restrict numbers attending because
of social distancing there will be three masses each weekday from Monday to Friday
at 8am, 10am & 7.30pm. Two masses will be added to the Sunday schedule: 6pm
Vigil on Saturday and 6pm on Sunday evening. At the moment, because of the need
for social distancing and contact tracing people will need a ticket if they intend
attending any weekend mass. Tickets will be available in the parish office. Weekend
messes are as follows: Saturday Vigil 6pm & 7.30pm. Sunday 8am, 10am, 11.30am,
1pm, 6pm. WEDDING JUBILEES: We congratulate all married couples celebrating significant
anniversaries this year. Unfortunately we could not gather together to celebrate
with you as a parish as we usually do around this time every year. Your love for
each other and your faithfulness is a constant reminder to us all of Christ’s ever
faithful love for His Church. So, as we offer our congratulations, we also say ‘thanks’
for your faithful witness to the love of God. FAITHFULNESS Being faithful is not never losing one’s way, never fighting, never failing. It is always getting up and going
on again. It is wanting to follow to the end of the route that you have decided on and mapped out together. It is trusting each other, beyond the darkness and shadows. It is supporting one another, beyond the falls and bruises. It is having faith in the total
power of God’s Love. beyond all human love itself. Faithfulness is very often the faithfulness of Jesus who was nailed to the cross, his body and heart tortured by our lack of faithfulness, alone, abandoned, betrayed, but who remained faithful to death, giving and forgiving, offering his life for us and saving Love for ever. |
