Vocations and the Derry Diocese<\/span><\/h3>If you have any questions about the priesthood, you will be pleased to hear that we are ready and willing to help you with any questions that you might have. It takes a great deal of courage to make that first step, we will deal with your queries in strict confidence and you can rest assured that you will be under no pressure nor obligation. Priesthood represents one of the greatest challenges a person can ever decide to undertake. There are highs and lows, good times and bad times, but, at the end of the day, as a priest you can take satisfaction in the knowledge that the impact you have on people is profound - you make a difference.<\/span><\/div>

Derry Diocesan Vocations Council<\/span><\/h3>
<\/span><\/div>The Derry Diocesan Vocations Council is made up of married people, single people, Religious and Priests. The function of the Council is to increase awareness in the Church of each one\'s calling to be a disciple of Jesus Christ, acknowledging that there are different ways in which this call can be lived out.<\/span><\/div>

<\/span><\/div>Lord Jesus Christ,<\/span><\/div>While you walked the roads of Palestine,<\/span><\/div>you chose and called apostles <\/span><\/div>and confided to them the task of preaching the Gospel, of feeding your flock and ministering your Sacraments. <\/span><\/div>Grant that, in our day,<\/span><\/div>Your Church may not be deprived of holy priests who will share with everyone the fruits of your Passion and Resurrection.<\/span><\/div>

<\/span><\/div>Remember discerment can take some time, so there is no need to be anxious, you are simply trying to find out where God might be calling you.<\/span><\/div>
