ALTAR SERVERS FORMS

“I will go in to the altar of God, the God of my gladness and joy.” Psalm 43:4

Altar Servers in Cappagh Parish are boy or girl members of the congregation who assist the priest in the celebration of the Mass and other liturgical ceremonies.

Altar servers are full and active participants in the Eucharist and have the added responsibility of being examples to the assembly. Special training is provided so that the liturgy is served with order, grace and reverence.

During the liturgy the Altar Server models the activity of the congregation by singing, praying, and maintaining silence at appropriate times.

The ministry of Altar Server is a very important sign of humility and hospitality as we approach the Table of the Lord.
