<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\nParishioners who are getting married outside the parish\nwill also need to attend a Pre-Marriage Course with ACCORD before arranging an\nappointment to get their church paperwork completed.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\nIf an ACCORD Pre-Marriage Course is unavailable in your\narea, please contact St Eugene’s Cathedral before booking a course with another\nprovider.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\nEvery couple marrying in the Catholic Church are required\nto give a minimum of three months notice to their priest and complete a Pre\nNuptial Enquiry Form. The form is completed a meeting with local priest of each\nparty. Here\'s the basic guidelines you need to follow:<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>
<\/span><\/p>\n\nThere are at least three forms that you need to get\nbefore going to meet your priest.<\/span>
\n<\/span><\/p>• A recently issued copy of your Baptismal Certificate<\/span>
\n<\/span><\/p>• A recently issued copy of your Confirmation Certificate<\/span>
\n<\/span><\/p>• A Letter of Freedom <\/span>from each parish you have lived in since\nyou were 18.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>
<\/span><\/p>Pre-nuptial enquiry<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n1 The Pre-nuptial enquiry (informally known as \'wedding\npapers\') is carried out in the parish where the person has domicile (resident\nfor at least six months) or quasi-domicile (resident for at least three\nmonths).<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n2 The Pre-nuptial enquiry is carried out in the form of a\npersonal interview between the person and the priest.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n3 It is essential that the Pre-nuptial enquiry be\ninitiated no later than three months prior to the proposed date of marriage.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n4 The Wedding Ceremony usually takes place in the parish\nchurch of the bride.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n5 In the case of a mixed marriage, the forms of the\nbaptised non-catholic or non-baptised person should be completed in the parish\nof the catholic party.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>
<\/span><\/p>\n\nInter Church Marriage<\/span><\/p>When a Catholic wishes to marry a Christian of another denomination they must\nask for a dispensation from their local bishop. The granting of this\ndispensation is dependant upon the promise of the Catholic party to ensure that\ntheir future children will be baptised in the Catholic Church and brought up in\nthe faith. This promise is also by all Catholic couples.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\nIn the event of the marriage ceremony being held in the\nchurch of another denomination it is necessary to ask for a dispensation of\nForm, that is permission to be married by the rites of another church. Again\nthis permission is granted by the diocesan bishop.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>
<\/span><\/p>\n\nInter Faith Marriage<\/span><\/p>When a Catholic wishes to marry a person who is not baptised, or who is a\nmember of another faith, they must seek a dispensation from the bishop. This is\ncalled a Disparity of Cult dispensation.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n <\/o:p><\/p><\/div><\/div>");
